Kim Underwood
spent 25 years as a newspaper reporter. He met Garnet Goldman
when he asked her to illustrate his first children’s book,
His Dogness Finds a Blue Heart.
They are now married and have two children. The stories in the
second book, The Wonderful World of
Sparkle Girl & Doobins, began as bedtime stories.
He will appear at Book 'Em North Carolina with illustrator
Garnet Goldman.
Judy
S. Walter is a graduate of
Shippensburg University in
Shippensburg, PA. A former high
school English teacher, Walter is
now a full time author. Her first
four books are part of a Healthy
Living Series and an outgrowth of
her life long interest in a
nutritional approach to health.
Walter's newest book will be
released in the spring of 2011 and
is the result of one of her passions
in life -- cats.
Sammy,
the Talking Cat is a
delightful book about the antics of
a real life cat named Sammy.
Her
other book topics include Cancer
Prevention & Complementary Treatment
and Stroke Prevention.

Bonnie Watson
Bonnie’s fantasy trilogy,
entitled Blue Moon Rising,
follows the footsteps of a young
magic-user on a journey to discover the truth behind his
secretive upbringing. She has also written several short works
that extend to fiction, western, and sci-fi, with more planned
to come. Bonnie also experiments with music and creates
illustrations not only for her written works, but other authors
in need of cover art, such as p.m. terrell’s
“Songbirds are Free”, V. Mark Covington’s “Montezuma’s Revenge”,
and Jean Keating’s “Love’s Enduring Bond”.
Susan
Whitfield is a North Carolina native, writing The Logan Hunter
Mystery Series, all novels set somewhere in the state.
Just North of Luck
received The Covey Book Cover Award for “Most Artistic Cover”.

Whitfield’s blog,
www.susanwhitfield.blogspot.com, has won numerous awards and
she regularly interviews authors and other industry experts. She
is currently working on The Goose
Parade of Old Dickeywood, a stand-alone novel,
and researching a medieval ancestor in hopes of writing an
historical mystery. Whitfield is a member of North Carolina
Writers Network, Mystery Writers of America, Sisters in Crime,
and Carolina Conspiracy.
Whitfield
also has a unique cookbook, entitled Killer Recipes. She enlisted the help of
mystery writers across the country and compiled recipes with
such titles as “Stuffed in the Trunk Mushrooms”. Proceeds for
this book go to The American Cancer Society in honor of her
grandson, a cancer survivor.

Sylvia A.
Witmore
Sylvia A.
Witmore writes Romantic Suspense. Her books take place in and
around the Carolinas. She majored in Journalism/Creative
Writing in college. Sylvia and her husband raised three sons
and she worked in a Home Health Agency for 29 years before
retiring. She suddenly lost her husband after 40 years of a
wonderful marriage; he died in 2009.
In March,
2008 she received her first book in print (Wheels)
and have been writing ever since.
She is listed
in the Stanford Who’s Who Book of Suspense Writers as
well as The Cambridge Who’s Who Black Book of Published
Writers.
Known as "Spunk on a Stick,"
Diane is a member of the National Speakers Association.
"Overcoming Obstacles with SPUNK! The Keys to Leadership and
Goal-Setting," ties all of her goal-setting and leadership
seminar's information together into one complete, enthusiastic
package. She also conducts seminars on book publishing and
promoting, and assists writers through her author services.
Her YA series, The Circle of
Friends, features morally grounded, positive stories that appeal
to both teens and concerned parents. Ten years associating with
a motivation training system and experience as a foster parent
gave her the in-depth knowledge of relationships, personality
traits and success principles. Wolfe travels extensively for
media interviews and speaking engagements, maintains a dozen
websites and blogs, and contributes to several other sites and
